Itinerary

ITINERARY: INCA JUNGLE A MACHU PICCHU 

The INKA JUNGLE is considered one of the most beautiful and complete alternative routes to reach Machu Picchu, because it is flexible and is one of the least explored in the region, it is a Trail that combines adventure sports such as mountain biking, canoeing, zipline and hiking for 4 days until you reach Machupicchu.

The Inca Jungle Trail is the preferred tour for young people from all over the world who come to Cusco in search of adventure and extreme sports. We as Tour Operator in the city of Cusco offer a differentiated service; With an exclusive route, more trained guides (with experience in adventure), bicycles conditioned for Downhill, canoeing and zipline services and above all we offer you security.

DAY 1: CUSCO – ABRA MALAGA – SANTA MARIA 

We pick you up from the hotel at 07:30 a.m. in our private transport and travel an average of 4 hours passing through the Malaga pass to arrive at Carrizales or San Luis where we will start our adventure. We will do a descent by bicycle an average of 3 to 4 hours until we reach Santa Maria. During the tour we will appreciate the archaeological center of Huamanmarca and the diversity of landscapes of mountains and jungle, as well as typical birds of the jungle, medicinal plants and exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, papaya, avocado, coffee, coca leaves, and visit local families in their daily routine. Our journey this day finish in Santa Maria.

In the afternoon 03.00pm you will have the opportunity to do rafting tour on the Urubamba River, whose rapids fluctuate between level III and IV. (Optional)

DAY 2: SANTA MARIA – HOT SPRINGS – SANTA TERESA (INKA JUNGLE)

After early breakfast we start our trek along the banks of the Urubamba River, an average of 7 to 8 hours approximately between ascents and descents, where we will have the opportunity to use part of one of the ancient Inca trails that is perfectly preserved. 

On the way we will observe various varieties of fruit plants, medicinal plants that the locals use to cure their diseases, as well as fauna, among wild animals, different types of birds such as parrots and others. Then we will cross the Urubamba River through the Oroya used by the peasants of the area, and then reach the hot springs of Cocalmayo in Santa Teresa and after enjoying the hot springs, we continue our walk to the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend the second night.

DAY 3: SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES (INKA JUNGLE)

This day in the morning we will have the option of making the canopi or zipline ( at Cola de Mono). After breakfast we will start our walk towards Hydroelectric, we will go through a narrow canyon where the weather is very pleasant, on the way, we will see beautiful waterfalls, mountains covered with vast vegetation, we will be able to appreciate banana plantations,  mango, avocado, cocoa, oranges, coca leaves, etc., finally we can observe the mountain of Machu Picchu. Lunch will be at the Hydroelectric, after which we will continue along the train tracks, after 3 hrs of walking we will arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have the opportunity to visit the hot springs of the town.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

In the morning after breakfast You will walk from the town to the Inca city of Machu Picchu (trip of 1.5 hours approximately), thus having the opportunity to be one of the first groups within the lost city of the Incas and will allow us to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Then we will have the guided tour in Machu Picchu, approximately for 2 hours, we will visit the most important enclosures with our guide, places such as the Inti Watana, Temple of the Condor, the sacred rock and others.  

 

(Optional climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu costs $ 65 USD from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the citadel of Machu Picchu).

At the appropriate time we will descend from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes to board our tourist train from Machu Picchu town to Ollantaytambo, where our tourist bus awaits us to transport to the city of Cusco.

HUAYNAPICCHU 

  • To climb the Huayna Picchu mountain, there is a limit of 400 people per day, it is recommended to make the reservation in advance. Since, once the quotas for the mountain are exhausted, there is no option to get income.
  • The cost to climb this mountain is $ 65.00 USD, which must be increased to the total cost of the package.
