ITINERARY:

DAY 1: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TOUR

We will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Cusco 04:00 AM, then we will head towards the south valley of Cusco. The trip by car is around 2 hours until we reach the town of Cusipata, where after having a refreshing breakfast, we will continue 1 hours more to the starting point of the trek, you will be immediately surprised by the beauty scenic, the flora and fauna of the place with herds of alpacas and llamas. We will have incredible views of the Ausangate mountain.

After a hike of 1.5 to 2 hours, we will arrive at our destination: Vinincunca “the Mountain of seven colors” (5,020 m / 16,466 ft). Already at the top we can appreciate the beauty and magic of the rainbow mountain and surroundings, as well as the snowy Ausangate, one of the most revered mountains in the region, here you will have time to explore the area and take pictures.

Later we will return the walk downhill from the mountain to the starting point of the trek, then we continue the route by car to the town of Cusipata, where we will recharge our energies with a delicious lunch. Finally we will return in our transport to the city of Cusco. Approximate arrival time 05:00 PM.

DAY 2: TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU BY TRAIN

In the morning we will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco at 04:00 AM and we will be transported to the train station of Ollantaytambo (1 hour and 40 minutes approx. trip by car). 

Once at the Ollantaytambo station, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). On the train trip,  we will enjoy extraordinary landscapes, mountains, rivers and streams. We can also appreciate the flora and fauna of this area of Cusco. 

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town), the agency staff will be waiting for us to give us all the directions and we will go to the bus station, where we board the bus that makes a zigzagging route to the mountain where the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu is located (30-minute trip by bus). 

When getting off the bus, we will go to the entrance of Machu Picchu, where we must present our tickets and respective identification documents, from this place the guided tour will begin in the citadel of Machu Picchu, we will visit the main enclosures of the city with our tourguide who will give us all the information and history of Machu Picchu for approximately 2 hours,  We will visit places such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters and others. On the tour we will open the senses and fill ourselves with the great energy that hides this majestic place.

At the appropriate time we must take the bus back to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town) where we can enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants (not included) and optionally you can visit the hot springs that are located north of the town (entrance not included).

At the appointed time we will take the return train from Aguas Calientes 2 hours of travel to Ollantaytambo, where the transport will take us back to the city of Cusco.

IMPORTANT 

• Rates are based on double accommodation.

• Rates do not include IGV in the case of Peruvian tourists.

HUAYNAPICCHU 

• To climb the Huayna Picchu mountain, there is a limit of 400 people per day, it is recommended to make the reservation in advance. Since, once the quotas for the mountain are exhausted, there is no option to get income.

• The cost to climb this mountain is $ 65.00 USD, which must be increased to the total cost of the package.

TRAIN OPTIONS FOR YOUR TRIP TO MACHUPICCHU:

The tours are in shared service, that is, you will join a group for the excursions, which means that you will share the bus with other travelers like you.  And you will have a Tour Guide for all the group. This is also an opportunity to meet other people.
