The Inka Jungle trek to Machu Picchu 3  days, 2 nights is considered one of the most beautiful and complete alternative routes to go to Machu Picchu, because it is flexible and one of the least explored routes in the region, it is a trail that combines great adventure sports such as mountain biking, canoeing, zipline and hiking for 4 days until you reach Machu Picchu. The Inca Jungle Trail is the preferred tour for young people from all over the world who come to Cusco in search of adventure and extreme sports. 

During the tour of the Inka jungle to Machu Picchu you will have the opportunity to appreciate the  beauty scenic such as; mountains covered with vast vegetation, waterfalls, rivers, as well as birds of the jungle, medicinal plants and exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, papaya, avocado, coffee and coca leaves. You can also relax and enjoy a swim in the hot springs of Cocalmayo. Finally, you will arrive at the famous lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: CUSCO – ABRA MALAGA – CYCLING – SANTA MARIA 

We will pick you up from the hotel at 06:00 HRS. in our tourist transport and travel an average of 4 hours passing through the pass of Malaga where we start our adventure. We will make the descent by bicycle for an average of 3 to 4 hours until we reach Santa Maria. During the tour we will appreciate the archaeological center of Huamanmarca and the diversity of landscapes of mountains and jungle, as well as birds typical of the jungle, medicinal plants and exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, papaya, avocado, coffee, coca leaves, and visit local families in their daily routine. Our journey this day finish in Santa Maria.

In the afternoon and after lunch we will be transported by car to the town of Santa Teresa, where we will spend the night.  Optionally you can visit the hot springs of Cocalmayo, If you want.

DAY 2: SANTA TERESA – ZIPLINE – AGUAS CALIENTES (INKA JUNGLE)

This day in the morning we will have the option to make the zipline (at Cola de Mono), After breakfast we will start our walk towards Hidroeléctrica. We will go through a narrow canyon where the weather is very pleasant, on the way, we will see beautiful waterfalls, mountains covered with enough vegetation, we can appreciate plantations of bananas, mango, avocado, cocoa, oranges, coca leaves, etc., finally we can observe the mountain of Machu Picchu. Lunch will be in Hydroelectric, after which we will continue along the train tracks, after 3 hrs of walking we will arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have the opportunity to visit the hot springs of the town.

DAY 3: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Early in the morning and after breakfast we will walk up to Machu Picchu. On the route we will see the majestic sunrise, thus having the opportunity to be one of the first groups within the lost city of the Incas and will allow us to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Then we will visit Machu Picchu with our professional tour guide, approximately for 2 and a half hours, we will visit the most important enclosures with our guide, places such as the Inti Watana, Temple of the Condor, the sacred rock and others.

At the appropriate time we will descend from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes to board our tourist train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo, where the tourist bus will wait for us to transport to the city of Cusco  or return by walking to hydroelectric to take the car back to Cusco.
