SOUTH VALLEY Cusco
The South Valley tour is a half day tour in Cusco, a cultural tour that will leave you amazed. You will start the visit to the water temple, the archaeological site of Tipon, famous for its agricultural terraces and water sources for religious purposes, this tour also allows you to visit the archaeological site of Pikillaqta, a place belonging to the pre-Inca culture – Wari, as a last point this tour will visit the Andahuaylillas temple, known as the Sistine chapel of South America, due to its ornamentation, consisting of canvases and paintings from the colonial era.

Itinerary
ITINERARY:
In the morning at 08:30hrs approx. We will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation to start the tour of the south valley, we will go by bus to the archaeological attraction of Tipon.
Arriving at the archaeological park of Tipon, we can appreciate a scenic beauty of agricultural terraces of considerable size which were part of an Inca temple dedicated to the cult of water. As well as water sources for religious purposes very important for the Inca era and sample of the high hydraulic engineering which was handled in Inca times, consisting of channels and aqueducts that supplied this vital liquid to the agricultural terraces and more sectors.
After tipon we go in our transport to the archaeological park of Pikillaqta, city region belonging to the pre-Inca Wari culture, which had its heyday before the development of the Inca culture, characterized by a walling as a way of protection of the city and construction different from the Inca. Composed of urban, religious and leisure sectors which were occupied after the arrival of the Inca culture.
Immediately after we go in our transport to the town of Andahuaylillas, to visit the Catholic temple of the same name considered by many as the Sistine Chapel of South America due to the ornamentation that it has which covers canvases and paintings made fresco in colonial times sample of the Andean syncretism that until today can be seen in these localities. Culminating the tour we will return to the city of Cusco and on the way back we can make a stop in the town of Oropesa to buy the famous “chuta” breads typical in the Cusco region. And then get to the city and rest after this pleasant experience.
