SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS AND MACHUPICCHU TOUR  2 DAYS/ 1 NIGHT BY TRAIN

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS TOUR:

In the morning at 07:30 Hrs. approx. we will pick you up at your hotel, then we will start the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will go by bus to Pisac. On the route we will make some stops to visit viewpoints of the Vilcanota River and the valley, already in the Pisac archaeological park,  We will visit the Inca citadel of Pisac located at the top of the mountain, know the inca areas, the cemetery, the terraces and their functions.

Then we will descend by bus to Pisac town, where we can visit some local craft shops that are mostly Andean metallurgy. 

Later we will go to Urubamba town, arriving at this point, we can taste a buffet lunch in a local restaurant and try Peruvian cuisine and more.

After our pleasant buffet lunch we will go in the transport to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo,  whose name is due in honor of the Inca General Ollanta, famous for his romance with an Inca princess, daughter of Pachacútec. In this site we will appreciate megalithic deposits with weights ranging from 45 tons to more, as well as environments for religious use, water sources and “Tambos” that had the function of supplying and resting in Inca time.

At the end of the tour, we will have to go to the train station of Ollantaytambo to take our train to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu town). Once arriving at Aguas Calientes, we can rest at the hotel and at night our guide will visit us to give us more information about our tour to Machupicchu.

DAY 2: TOUR TO MACHUPICCHU BY TRAIN

In the morning at the indicated time according to our guide, we will go to the bus station, we will travel for 30 minutes to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Later we will enter the Inca City of Machu Picchu, the guide will begin with the guided tour of the main attractions such as: the guardian enclosure, the temple of the sun, the Intiwatana, the temple of the three windows, the sacred square, the temple of the condor, the sacred rock and others. On the tour we will have some free time to take pictures and explore the place on our own.

After the visit to Machu Picchu, we will board the bus that will return us to Aguas Calientes where if we wish, we will enjoy a lunch (not included), in the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo station. Once there, the transport will return us to Cusco (arrival in Cusco 20:00 Hrs. Approx.)

IMPORTANT 

• Rates are based on double accommodation.

• Rates do not include IGV in the case of Peruvian tourists.

HUAYNAPICCHU 

• To climb the Huayna Picchu mountain, there is a limit of 400 people per day, it is recommended to make the reservation in advance. Since, once the quotas for the mountain are exhausted, there is no option to get income.

• The cost to climb this mountain is $ 65.00 USD, which must be increased to the total cost of the package.
